After decades of barbaric bombings and other attacks in India, someone finally noticed that the perpetrators have been giving Allah the credit . This is a nice article that explains why Islam is a threat to the rest of us as well.

"The time has arrived for the unspoken to be spoken: Radical Islam is at war with India.

The objectives of the war are to destroy India as a nation with a composite culture and multi-ethnic society, and replace it with a phenomenon which began as an enclave in Saudi Arabia in the 7th century and has already enveloped a good part of the globe.

Its spread so far is a proof of its inherent strength. In its historical march to its present expanse, it has destroyed empires, countries, religions, culture and people. It is continuously making inroads into territories where it was earlier unknown. Those who fail to comprehend its dynamics, do so at their own peril.

Radical Islam is what Prophet Mohammed is believed to have given to the citizens of Medina after his flight from Mecca. He outlined an ideology, couched in religious terms, from which an escape was next to impossible.

The ideology offered no accommodation except on its terms, ruled out all compromises, and demanded an allegiance with any violation of what was declared blasphemous, inviting instantaneous annihilation.

As radical Islam spread far and wide beyond Mecca and Medina, often in the shadow of the sword, it did encounter powerful ideas which after mellowed it and sometimes led to the emergence of new sprouts.

Sufi Islam was one such product which toned down the hard features of the original concepts and introduced new ones. It conditioned the Islamic mindset to the acceptance of co-existence with other cultures and religions. Although principally it was radical Islam which made its first forays into India in the middle and early mid centuries, the one that settled down was not so radical. Its core was impacted by Hindu philosophy, Bhakti movements and new strains within it such as Akbar’s Deen-e-Ilahi. The result was a broad based coexistence of Islam with all other religions in India.

But the purists were not amused by what they saw as contamination of Islam. Their brigade was led by the contemporary Ulemas.".....

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs forces man to to clean mosques for 'skipping prayers'

A Saudi civil court has ordered an Asian immigrant to clean mosques next month during this year's Hajj pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca after religious police caught him skipping Friday prayers several times, Saudi daily al-Watan reports. The man will have to clean five mosques along the highway into Mecca twice daily for eleven days, the court ruled.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs will be tasked with checking if the immigrant obeys the court order. If he fails to do so, the court has warned that he will be tried before a criminal court.

Instead of handing out custodial sentences, a number of Saudi judges have recently ordered minor offenders to clean buildings and cars, memorise the Koran (the Muslim holy book) or do community work.

Earlier this month, a judge ordered a young man to memorise part of the Koran and 40 sayings of the Prophet Mohammed as a punishment for appearing in public with a woman who was not a relative.

This year's Hajj is taking place in the first half of December. Last year, two million Muslim pilgrims attended.

The Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is an obligation for all able-bodied Muslims to attend at least once during their lives, provided they can afford it.

Dancers flogged by Islamists

What will the Minister of Islamic affairs who says that music is haraam do with dancers?

"The team was flogged in Balad township, 30km north of the capital Mogadishu, where they were arrested overnight while performing a folklore dance.

"They were found dancing to traditional songs outside Balad last night (Friday) and were flogged this morning (Satureday).

Islamist official, Sheikh Ibrahim Hassan, told AFP that group violated the Islamic Sharia law that bars men and women from mingling and dancing together.

"So they were punished for their evil actions that violated Sharia law," Hassan said.

Last month, Somali men stoned to death a 13-year-old girl after an Islamic court in the southern port of Kismayo found her guilty of adultery, but it later emerged that she was raped."

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs will make you CLEAN YOURSELF AFTER DEFECATING, THE ISLAMIC WAY

Apostle of God used to clean himself after defecation using only odd number of stones. That is the sunna (examples set by Muhammad). Good Maldivian Muslims living can go to beach and pick coral this purpose (the used coral can be good building material).

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 4, Number 163:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, " whoever cleans his private parts with stones should do so with odd numbers. And whoever wakes up from his sleep should wash his hands before putting them in the water for ablution, because nobody knows where his hands were during sleep."


NEVER USE BONES OR ANIMAL DUNG AFTER DEFECATING
Jinns love to eat bones and dried animal dung. They don't appreciate the contamination of their favourite delicacy with fecal matter and can pounce on the next guy they find sitting and defecating.

Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 200:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
That once he was in the, company of the Prophet carrying a water pot for his ablution and for cleaning his private parts. While he was following him carrying it (i.e. the pot), The Prophet said, "Bring me stones in order to clean my private parts, and do not bring any bones or animal dung."

"What about the bone and the animal dung?" He said, "They are of the food of Jinns. The delegate of Jinns of (the city of) Nasibin came to me--and how nice those Jinns were--and asked me for the remains of the human food. I invoked Allah for them that they would never pass by a bone or animal dung but find food on them."

HOW TO URINATE
You must keep your right hand clean to hold Quran.

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 4, Number 156:
Narrated Abu Qatada:
The Prophet said, "Whenever anyone of you urinates he should not hold his penis or clean his private parts with his right hand.


WASH YOUR NOSE FROM INSIDE IN THE MORNING
In the morning wash your nose from inside as Satan urinates and defecates inside while spending the night there. Otherwise you will have runny nose all day besides possible nose infections.

Volume 4, Book 54, Number 516:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "If anyone of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution, he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because Satan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night."


WASH YOUR EARS FROM INSIDE IF YOU WAKE UP LATE
If you wake up late in the morning and miss the fajr prayer, Satan who spends the night in your nose walks out and urinates in your ears. It results in ear infection.

Bukhari Volume 2, Book 21, Number 245:
Narrated 'Abdullah :
A person was mentioned before the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and he was told that he had kept on sleeping till morning and had not got up for the prayer. The Prophet said, "Satan urinated in is ears."

Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 492:
Narrated 'Abdullah:
It was mentioned before the Prophet that there was a man who slept the night till morning (after sunrise). The Prophet said, "He is a man in whose ears (or ear) Satan had urinated."

OTHER GOOD HABBITS FOR GOOD HEALTH
Tabari II:99
"Abraham was tested with ten Islamic practices: rinsing the mouth, cleansing nostrils with water, trimming the mustache, using a toothstick, plucking the armpit (ouch), paring nails, washing finger joints, circumcision, shaving pubic hair, and washing the rear and vulva."


WOMEN MUST BE SHAVED
A shaved woman makes a tired husband after a long journey very happy.

Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 173:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
The Prophet said, "If you enter (your town) at night (after coming from a journey), do not enter upon your family till the woman whose husband was absent (from the house) shaves her pubic hair ."

WOMEN MUST BE CIRCUMCISED
Circumcision keeps a woman from doing hanky panky thus protecting her from hellfire.

Sunan Abu Dawud Book 41, Number 5251:
Narrated Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah:
A woman used to perform circumcision in Medina . The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said to her: Do not cut severely as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband.

MENSTRUATION IS ILLNESS WHICH CAN BE CURED BY FONDLING
Menstruation is a sickness suffered by all women. Prophet used to cure his wives of this illness by fondling.

Q 002.222: They question thee (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation. Say: It is an illness.,

Narrated 'Aisha:
The Prophet used to treat some of his wives by passing his right hand over the place of illness.

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 6, Number 298:
Narrated 'Aisha:
The Prophet and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were Junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an Izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to fondle me.

Volume 1, Book 6, Number 299:
Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Aswad:
(on the authority of his father) 'Aisha said: "Whenever Allah's Apostle wanted to fondle anyone of us during her periods (menses), he used to order her to put on an Izar and start fondling her." 'Aisha added, "None of you could control his sexual desires as the Prophet could."

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 6, Number 300:
Narrated Maimuna:
When ever Allah's Apostle wanted to fondle any of his wives during the periods (menses), he used to ask her to wear an Izar.


THE FLOOR WHERE YOU PROSTRATE MUST BE FREE OF URINE
During prophet time, dogs used to come and urinate in the mosque all the time. Prophet was so sick and tired that he ordered all dogs of Madina killed.

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 4, Number 174:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Hamza bin 'Abdullah narrated: My father said. "During the lifetime of Allah's Apostle, the dogs used to urinate, and pass through the mosques (come and go)."

Bukhari volume 4, Book 54, Number 540:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:
Allah's Apostle ordered that the dogs should be killed.


NOISY AND SMELLY FARTS MAKE PEOPLE LAUGH AND BREAK THE PRAYERS
Every time prayer breaks you have to go and make a new wudu. It is really irritating when an imam has to break prayers and go for a new wudu. It is best imams stay away from beans.

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 4, Number 137:
narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "The prayer of a person breaks by passing of wind from the anus."

Once, after beans were served in walima feast at prophet's house the isha prayer took two hours because prophet and all namazis were preaking prayer and making wudu repeatedly.

Disruption was also caused by the namazis laughing out loud every time some one farted. Prophet had to turn around and stop them.

Prophet advised in regard to people laughing at other's passing wind from anus and said: 'You laugh at that which you yourself do.'"

LITTLE FARTS (SILENT AND NON SMELLY) DON'T BREAK PRAYERS

Narrated 'Abbas bin Tamim:
My uncle asked Allah's Apostle about a person who imagined to have passed wind from anus during the prayer. Allah' Apostle replied: "He should not leave his prayers unless he hears sound or smells something.

PLAGUE AND ABDOMINAL DESEASES ARE BLESSINGS FROM GOD FOR BELIEVERS, THEY GET YOU THE RANK OF A MARTYR AND PARADISE

Allah's Apostle said, "Five are regarded as martyrs: They are those who die because of plague, abdominal disease, drowning or a falling building etc., and the martyrs in Allah's Cause."

I asked Allah's Apostle about the plague. He said, "That was a means of torture which Allah used to send upon whom-so-ever He wished, but He made it a source of mercy for the believers, for anyone who is residing in a town in which this disease is present, and remains there and does not leave that town, but has patience and hopes for Allah's reward, and knows that nothing will befall him except what Allah has written for him, then he will get such reward as that of a martyr."

Bukhari Volume 7, Book 71, Number 628:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah's Apostle said, "(Death from) plague is martyrdom for every Muslim."

The Prophet said, "He (a Muslim) who dies of an abdominal disease is a a martyr, and he who dies of plague is a martyr."


CONTAGIOUS DESEASES ONLY CONVEYED BY ALLAH'S PERMISSION
Some small illnesses like menstruation, cold, cough, headache etc are authorized by Jibraeel. But contagious diseases need permission from Allah.

FEVER IS FROM THE HEAT OF HELL
When Allah decides to give fever to some one he asks the hell to transfer the heat to the designated human body.

"I heard the Prophet saying, 'Fever is from the heat of the Hell Fire.'"


URINE IS EXCELLENT FOR HEALTH
Urine is not only a great drink, it cures many diseases. Indian prime minister used to drink urine and lived a very long life. He taught President Carter that trick, and Carter is still alive and kicking. However camel urine is one notch above.

"The climate of Medina did not suit some people so the Prophet ordered them to drink camel urine as a medicine."


CURE ALL DESEASES WITH BLACK CUMIN
Western corporations dread islam. They know that with islam comes the Islamic knowledge of useful cost saving short cuts. Imagine what will happen to Pharmaceutical industry if it becomes common knowledge that black cumin can cure all diseases except death.

A man came to the Prophet and said, "My brother has some abdominal trouble." The Prophet said to him "Let him drink honey." The man came for the second time and the Prophet said to him, 'Let him drink honey."

He came for the third time and the Prophet said, "Let him drink honey." He returned again and said, "I have done that ' The Prophet then said, "Allah has said the truth, but your brother's abdomen has told a lie. Let him drink honey." So he made him drink honey and he was cured.

I heard the Prophet saying, "Treat with the Indian incense, for it has healing for seven diseases; it is to be sniffed by one having throat trouble, and to be put into one side of the mouth of one suffering from pleurisy

FLY WINGS HAVE DESEASE AS WELL AS CURE
Pharmacies can sell the fly wings which has cure.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "If a fly falls in the vessel of any of you, let him dip all of it (into the vessel) and then throw it away, for in one of its wings there is a disease and in the other there is healing (antidote for it) i e. the treatment for that disease."

The Prophet said, "At every womb Allah appoints an angel who says, 'O Lord! A drop of semen, O Lord! A clot. O Lord! A little lump of flesh." Then if Allah wishes (to complete) its creation, the angel asks, (O Lord!) Will it be a male or female, a wretched or a blessed, and how much will his provision be? And what will his age be?' So all that is written while the child is still in the mother's womb."

Allah's Apostle, said, " a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him.."


HOW TO PROTECT YOUR FUTURE BABY FROM SATAN

The Prophet said, "If anyone of you, when having sexual relation with his wife, say: 'In the name of Allah. O Allah! Protect us from Satan and prevent Satan from approaching our offspring you are going to give us,' and if he begets a child (as a result of that relation) Satan will not harm it."

The Prophet said, "Kill the snake with two white lines on its back, for it blinds the on-looker and causes abortion."

The Prophet ordered that a short-tailed or mutilated-tailed snake (i.e. Abtar) should be killed, for it blinds the on-looker and causes abortion."

Volume 4, Book 54, Number 529:
Narrated Abu Mulaika:
Prophet said, 'Do not kill snakes except the short-tailed or mutilated-tailed snake with two white lines on its back, for it causes abortion and makes one blind. So kill it.'


HOW TO GUARANTEE PREGNANCY AND A MALE CHILD
Why bother with X and Y chromosomes. Just say inshallah for a male child specially if you want him to strive fir Allah, and become a suicide bomber to kill infidels.

You have to make sure you say "inshallah" before you have sex with your spouse if you want pregnancy and a male child.

Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 74i:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "Once Solomon, son of David said, '(By Allah) Tonight I will have sexual intercourse with one hundred (or ninety-nine) women each of whom will give birth to a knight who will fight in Allah's Cause.' On that a (i.e. if Allah wills) but he did not say, 'Allah willing.' Therefore only one of those women conceived and gave birth to a half-man. By Him in Whose Hands Muhammad's life is, if he had said, "Allah willing', (he would have begotten sons) all of whom would have been knights striving in Allah's Cause."


HOW TO DETERMINE THE LOOKS OF YOUR BABY BEFORE BIRTH

The Prophet said, "When any human being is born. Satan touches him at both sides of the body with his two fingers, except Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed, for he touched the placenta-cover instead."

Maldivian Artists and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs

Maldivian Islamists have achieved a major political victory. They have a seat at the table. They have demanded and are getting part of what they want. They have a new Ministry of Islamic Affairs headed by Dr. Majeed - "a man who claims to have personally witnessed a beheading in Saudi Arabia and talks about it as if it is office gossip."
What else do they want?
“If such an institution is established it will be a power to protect religion in Maldives…to minimise government influence in religious affairs,” Majeed said.

So what exactly are they going to do with their power? Beheadings?
He has declared that music is haraam. He also says that a woman should not rule a country. He knows this because they told him so in a madarusa in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia.

Bangladeshi artists under attack from Muslim hardliners
DHAKA (AFP) – Rashed Ahmed paints the fiery eyes of a python on to a giant piece of white cloth in the grounds of Dhaka University, as a huge crowd of painters, actors and writers cheer the fine arts student on.
Each of those gathered then has a tilt at drawing their own symbols, leaving a personal mark indicative of the Bangladeshi cultural heritage they say hardline Muslims are determined to destroy.
"The python is the symbol of radical Islamists," says Ahmed. "It has started devouring our rich culture. Unless we can collectively stop it, the survival of our arts, sculptures, writings and dramas will be at stake."
Large groups of Bangladeshi artists -- including film-makers, singers and writers -- began daily protests last month after authorities removed two newly commissioned sculptures of local folk singers erected outside Dhaka's airport.
A group of Muslim hardliners calling themselves the Anti-Statues Resistance Committee complained that the sculptures were idols, which are strictly forbidden in Islam, and threatened to attack the artwork with power tools.
Buoyed by their removal, hardline Islamists are now demanding that the government erect a minaret honouring Muslim pilgrims at the same airport site.
One of the group's leaders Mufti Fazlul Haq Amini, a former MP, says that he will "demolish all statues" if his party wins the December 18 parliamentary elections.
This is not the first time extremists have targeted people in the arts in Muslim-majority but officially secular Bangladesh. In 1994, feminist writer Taslima Nasreen fled the country after she was accused of blasphemy.
Another respected writer, Humayun Azad, died in 2004 after he was attacked with machetes at a book fair by suspected Islamists.
According to leading intellectual and English literature professor Sirajul Islam Chowdhury, the removal of the sculptures capped the state's growing acquiescence with extremist groups.
Last year, a satirical magazine published by the country's largest media group was closed down and its editor apologised after it printed a cartoon of prophet Mohammed.
The military-backed government also backed down from a policy to ensure equal property rights to women amid angry protests by Muslim clerics that the move would override Islamic law.

Woman in pants leave the Islamists hot and bothered.
Mainly Muslim Malaysia's National Fatwa Council recently issued a religious ruling that wearing trousers was un-Islamic.
It said that, by wearing trousers, young girls risked becoming "tomboys" who became sexually active.
That move triggered small protests later from two non-Muslim non-government organizations -- Katagender and Food-not-Bombs.
"I'm warning them and will take stern action as it involves national security," Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan told reporters on Thursday, according to the state-run Bernama news agency.
Malaysia frowns on oral and gay sex, describing them as against the order of nature. Under civil law, offenders -- male and female -- can be jailed for up to 20 years, caned or fined.
As well as women in trousers, the Fatwa Council is considering barring Muslims from practicing yoga.
Just over half of Malaysia's 27 million people are Malay Muslims, practicing the moderate form of Islam.

Why the Man is Superior to the Woman

This Muslim site tries to set straight a precocious young woman, whom Satan has clearly been working at with ideas of gender equality.

I am a Muslim girl, praise be to Allaah. I have read a lot and I have heard the scholars speak about the husband’s rights over his wife, and how great he is. I have heard ahaadeeth which speak sternly about a woman disobeying her husband. I want to obey the commands of Allaah and His Messenger when I get married, if Allaah wills, but I have a question, if I may ask about it. This question is going around in the minds of many women, but they are too embarrassed to ask them lest they be accused of ignorance or of denying the command of Allaah and His Messenger. The question is: what is it that makes the man superior so that he deserves all these rights over women?.

Praise be to Allaah.

The great rights that a husband has over his wife are something that is affirmed in sharee’ah, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And they (women) have rights (over their husbands as regards living expenses) similar (to those of their husbands) over them (as regards obedience and respect) to what is reasonable, but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them. And Allaah is All-Mighty, All-Wise”

[al-Baqarah 2:228]

“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allaah and to their husbands), and guard in the husband’s absence what Allaah orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity and their husband’s property). As to those women on whose part you see ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next) refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly, if it is useful); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance). Surely, Allaah is Ever Most High, Most Great”

And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone other than Allaah, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, no woman can fulfil her duty towards Allaah until she fulfils her duty towards her husband. If he asks her (for intimacy) even if she is on her camel saddle, she should not refuse.”

Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 1853; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah.

Allaah has explained the reason in the verse where He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means”

[al-Nisa’ 4:34]

This superiority is something that Allaah has decreed, and He is not to be questioned about what He does, rather they are to be questioned. It is also because of what the man does, spending on his family and striving to earn a living for them.

Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in his Tafseer (1/363): “The phrase ‘but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them’ means that they are superior in physical nature, attitude, status, obedience to the commands of Allaah, spending, taking care of interests, and virtue, in this world and in the Hereafter, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

‘Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means’

[al-Nisa’4:34].” End quote.

He also said (1/653): “Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘Men are the protectors and maintainers of women’ meaning that men are in charge of women, i.e., they are their leaders, who rule over them and discipline them if they go astray. ‘because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other’ means, because men are superior to women, and men are better than women. Hence Prophethood was given to men only, as is the highest position of authority (i.e., khilaafah or the position of caliph), because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No people will ever succeed who appoint a woman as their ruler.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari from the hadeeth of ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Abi Bakr from his father. The same applies to the position of judge etc. ‘and because they spend (to support them) from their means’ means, because of the mahr, spending and maintenance that Allaah has enjoined upon men with regard to women in His Book and in the Sunnah of His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). So men are better than women in and of themselves, and they have the responsibility to spend on them and maintain them, so it is appropriate that the man should be the protector and maintainer of the woman, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them’, i.e., they are in charge of them. She should obey him in that which he commands her to do, and obeying him means treating his family well and protecting his wealth.” End quote.

Al-Baghawi said in his Tafseer (2/206): “ ‘because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other’ means, men excel women because they have more powers of reason and religious commitment and they are in charge of affairs. And it was said that this refers to giving testimony, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women’ [al-Baqarah 2:282]. And it was said that it refers to jihad, or to worship i.e., Jumu’ah and prayers in congregation, or that it refers to the fact that a man may marry four wives, but a woman is not permitted more than one husband; or the fact that divorce is in the man’s hand; or that it refers to inheritance, or to diyah (blood money), or to Prophethood.”

Al-Baydaawi said in his Tafseer (2/184): “ ‘Men are the protectors and maintainers of women’ means that they are in charge of them and take care of them. He gave two reasons for that, one that is inherent in them and one that is acquired subsequently, and said: ‘because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other’, because Allaah has favoured men over women by making men more perfect in reasoning and running affairs, and has given them more strength with regard to work and acts of worship. Hence men are singled out when it comes to Prophethood, leadership, guardianship, establishing rituals, giving testimony in legal matters, the obligation to engage in jihad and pray Jumu’ah, and so on, and they are given a greater share of inheritance, and divorce is in the man’s hand. ‘and because they spend (to support them) from their means’ refers to what they spend with regard to marriage, such as the mahr and maintenance, etc.” End quote.

In conclusion, men have been given the role of protectors and maintainers for the two reasons mentioned in the verse, one of which is inherent i.e., Allaah has made men superior to women, and the other of which is acquired by the man through his own hard work, which his spending his wealth on his wife.

Statistics and the Meaning of Islam

What is the "real" Islam? Is it the Islam of the nice Muslim at work? Or is it the Islam of Osama bin Laden?

To get a logical answer, we must have a logical basis. What sources are available to answer the question? We can toss out the media and all of its answers since they generally quote apologist "experts". But is there an expert we can trust? Yes, there is. Mohammed.

The most fundamental statement that can be made about Islam is: there is no god but Allah and Mohammed is His prophet. This is the bedrock of Islam and points us directly to the only sure source of Islam-Allah and Mohammed. But where are Allah and Mohammed found? The Trilogy of Koran, Sira and Hadith. Allah is found in the Koran and Mohammed is found in the Sira (his biography) and the Hadith (his traditions of small stories and sayings). There is a special name for the sum of the Sira and the Hadith, the Sunna.

The Koran and Sunna are the only sure and certain basis of Islam. All of Islam is based upon the Trilogy.

The foundational texts of Islam --the Trilogy--suffer from being deliberately difficult. It is clear to anyone who reads these texts that every effort has been made to make the material obscure and difficult. There are two reasons for this obscurity. First, difficult texts make for a secure job for the priestly caste, the imams and scholars. If the text is clear in meaning, then no help is needed to understand it. The second reason is that the texts contain horrible and contradictory messages for the world buried under the obscurity.

The usual response to this difficulty is to skip the editing and offer up some verses from the Koran. But "verse" is a biased word in that it invokes a religious overtone. In almost every case, a verse is nothing more than a sentence. There is no other field of study in which individual sentences are given so much weight.

"Verse picking", to use a statistical term, is a very poor sampling method. What we want is the meaning, and it is impossible to learn the complete meaning from a sentence. What we need to concern ourselves with are ideas and concepts, not simply a sentence.

Let us be clear here that the very best way to obtain the complete meaning is to edit (edit does not mean change the meaning, but to order, rearrange and collect) the texts and then proceed from the edited text. The Koran is famously difficult. However, if the necessary editing is done, the Koran is a very straightforward document. The first editing steps are to put the Koran in order with respect to time. In this way when you turn the page, you advance in time, just as you would in a history book. This time line order has been known since the first days of Islam. The next step is to collect all of the variations of the same story. As an example, the story of Moses and the Pharaoh is told 39 times. If they are all collected under one category, then the Koran is easier to read and less boring.

The next step is to take the Sira and weave it into the Koran to give the Koran a context. For example, there is a verse that says that it was proper to burn the palm trees. For someone who reads this verse, a question arises: what palm trees are being talked about? The Koran gives no context. But in the day of its creation, everyone who heard the verse knew that the previous week, Mohammed had attacked some Jews who were date farmers and had destroyed their date palm trees in violation of Arabic war customs. When the story of Mohammed (from the Sira) is woven into the Koran, then the context of the attack on the Jews is clear.

A Koran that is in the proper time order, categorized, and includes Mohammed's life is a straightforward book that is easily understood. CSPI has published two Korans that have been edited this way-A Simple Koran and an Abridged Koran.

But we still have a problem. We need to be able to discuss the Koran with those who do not have access to edited Korans or who would not read them anyway. We need to be able make meaningful summary statements. Picking your favorite verse is not the way to make a summary statement.

We need a method of macro-analysis, not micro-analysis. We need to be able to talk about the big picture, the complete meaning of Islam. But there is a problem in trying to summarize Islam as it is filled with contradictory statements. So how do we deal with the contradictions while looking at the big picture?

The answer to these questions is to use a statistical measure of the texts. Don't let the word statistics scare you. The only statistics needed is counting how many items are in a category.

Take for example the idea of the importance of the Koran. The most commonly belief about Islam is that it is based upon the Koran and is a religion. Neither of these ideas is true.

How important is the Koran? It contains about 153,000 words. The Sira (by Ibn Ishaq) contains about 292,000 words, and the Hadith has 646,000 words (using the Bukhari text). So Allah is about 14% of the total of the Trilogy and the Sunna (Mohammed's words and deeds) is 86% of the total. These are only a quantitative measure, but still, it points out how important Mohammed is compared to Allah, based upon the amount of text.

This is born out further by noticing that the Koran does not contain enough information to practice even one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Only the Sunna (primarily the Hadith for religious practice) tells the Muslim how to worship. So the statistical measure shows that Islam is also Mohammedism.

Once the Koran is rearranged in the right time order, categorized and Mohammed's life is woven back into it, another fact leaps from the page. Very little of the Koran is devoted to how to be a Muslim, the religion of Islam. Instead, the majority of the Koran is about kafirs, non-Muslims. Kafirs are the worst of the creation. Allah hates kafirs and plots against them. Kafirs can be tortured, murdered, robbed, raped and enslaved. The Koran is fixated on kafirs, as was Mohammed.

To measure the Koranic fixation on kafirs, let us measure the fixation by counting the amount of text devoted to them. In Mecca an astounding 67% of the text is devoted to the kafir. In Medina 51% was about kafirs. The amount of text in the entire Koran devoted to kafirs is 61%.

As an aside, Islam excludes kafirs in every way from its religious practice. Since the kafir is outside of Islam, the term political Islam is used to describe the doctrine of Islam as it is applied to the "others", the kafirs. So 61% of the Koran is about political Islam, not religious Islam. (KS Lal gives the figure of 63% in Theory and Practice of Muslim State in India, Aditya Prakashan, 1999, N. Delhi, pg. 4).

The Sira shows the importance of Islam's political nature. Mohammed preached the religion of Islam for 13 years in Mecca and only gained 150 followers. He moved to Medina where he became a politician and warrior. After 10 years of violence he became ruler of all Arabia without a single enemy left standing. He was involved in an event of violence every 6 weeks for the last 9 years of his life. Statistical conclusion-Islam's success came from war and politics, not religion.

Another statistical conclusion: Islam is primarily a political doctrine, not a religion.

Simple statistics also reveal the true nature of the political/religious idea of jihad. When the word jihad is used, Muslims say that there are two kinds of jihad. There is the religious jihad, the greater jihad--the inner struggle against personal problems. The war jihad is the lesser jihad.

The Hadith of Bukhari gives all of the tactical details of jihad. A simple counting method shows that 3% of the hadiths are about the inner struggle, whereas, 97% of the hadiths are about jihad as war. So is jihad the inner struggle? Yes, 3%. Is jihad the war against kafirs? Yes, 97%.

This leads to a very important concept. Islam is based upon contradictory statements. How do we sort them out to get the complete meaning? We measure the amount of text devoted to each side of the dichotomy. That is what we did with the question of which jihad is the real jihad. It gives a complete statistical answer.

There is nothing new here. Only single value state ideas can be measured by one number. Multi-state ideas must be evaluated by statistics that measure every state of the variable. If an idea has different manifestations, then instead of arguing which is the right manifestation, just measure all of the manifestations.

There is an exact analogy to the measurement of the state of the electron in an atom. Quantum physics does not give a single answer about the energy and position, but gives us the statistical probabilities of each possible state. The same is true about Islam. We need to know its total state, not something about one category.

In conclusion, statistics is a superior way to gain complete knowledge of the texts of Islam. Statistics allows us to explore Islam in its totality. Remember the old story of the blind men feeling the elephant? One said the elephant was like a rope, another a tree, a wall and so forth. Was each man right? Were any of them wrong? No. But none of them were completely right. Statistical analysis cannot tell us the qualitative story but it allows us to remove the blinders of only looking at one category and forces us to look at the total picture.

Notice that this approach also effectively tells us how to evaluate the "experts" that get trotted out to buttress a favorite position. This is the iron rule of Islam-only Mohammed defines the truth of Islam. If what an expert says agrees with Mohammed, then the he is right, but he is redundant. If what the expert says contradicts Mohammed, then the expert is wrong. So experts are either redundant or wrong. Only Mohammed tells us the truth about Islam and he is never wrong or redundant. Skip the experts and move straight to Mohammed. The statistical approach does just that.

How the Mutawas (Morality Police) Keep the Saudi Society Clean from Vice

With Muslim "scholars" getting a Ministry of Islam what can we expect? The Religious Police? Forced namaadhu? all female schoolchildren and government employees to wear the burugaa? Compulsory clitoris cutting?
Read below to have an idea of what happens in the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia as many of these mullahs were "educated" there.

Four months ago Salaman Al Huraisi, a 28-year old hotel security guard was tortured to death in the headquarters of the Saudi Commission for the Protection of Virtue and Suppression of Vice. Its 10.000 men are known as the “Mutawas” (pious men). Maher Al Hamizi, the lawyer of the Huraisi family said, an autopsy has shown that Salman’s skull was split open and his eyes were dislodged from their sockets. After midnight of a humid hot day, a GMC loaded with Mutawas stormed into Al Huraisi’s house in a poor area of Riyadh. While shouting “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) they broke down the house’s doors and tore personal belongings looking for alcohol. His alleged crime: he drank beer.

Human Rights Watch reported, Sina, 25-years old Mongolian girl, who was shopping in a glitzy Riyadh mall was spotted by two Mutawas. They canned her and shoved her into their GMC because she did not cover her face. They denounced her as Filipina Gahba (Filipina whore), drove her to their office where they raped her and sent her to prison.

Muhammed Sadeeq, a Bangladeshi, told Spiegel On-Line, his brother Ahmed died after being hauled into a local Commission headquarters for being in a car with a woman who was not his close relative. The Mutawas did not believe that Ahmed was employed as the family’s driver. Ahmed was a diabetic. The Mutawas refused to allow him get his medication.

Recently, a former colleague of mine at King Saud University told me on the phone, his neighbor Ameera, a young Saudi woman endured a harrowing evening at the hands of some Mutawas after arriving in her car to pick up her children from an amusement park. Because she was laughing with her driver, the Mutawas accused her of indecency. They ejected her driver, drove Umm Ali outside Riyadh, crushed her car and dashed off.

George who is now living in the USA and years back he used to work for a big restaurant in Riyadh told me, “One day, it was difficult to push out our customers before Asr-prayers. We were 2 or 3 minutes late. All of a sudden a squad of Mutawas stormed into the restaurant and arrested all of us, 13 employees, and drove us to their headquarters. There, we had to wash and pray. Although I’m Christian I prayed like a Muslim, I knew how to do it, I just followed what the others did. As one of the Mutawas saw my Saudi-issued identity card, he shouted, ‘hold on! You’re damned ‘Nassrani’ (Christian). Have you formally converted?’ I said, ‘Sort of.’ He said, ‘No, no, you have to do it formally.’ That meant I had to do all my Iqama (residency) paper work all over again und use a Muslim name. I had to replace ‘George’ with ‘Mohammed’.”

“Marcus, a Filipino, who arrived for the first time in Saudi Arabia, was arrested by two Mutawas as he was leaving Riyadh Airport. His alleged crime: he was carrying a cross around his neck. He was accused of proselytizing. The man has been in prison for three years now.” Said Helene Berger from Amnesty International/Germany.

Even diplomats are not spared by the Mutawas. In March 2006, Ingrid Krueger, then the German press attaché at the German Embassy experienced the wrath of the morality police while entering a restaurant in Riyadh. She was conservatively dressed but she did not have her Abaya (Islamic robe) on. As she was harangued by a Mutawa, she pulled out her Saudi-issued diplomatic identity card. The Mutawa threw the card on the ground and grind it into the pavement with the sole of his shoes. Some Saudis who happened to be in the restaurant managed eventually to convince the Mutawas that what they did was wrong and the pit dogs left.

Sheikh Ibraheem Al Ghaith, the director of the Commission for the Protection of Virtue and Suppression of Vice, on a minister salary, told the reporter of the German newspaper Die Welt “The women’s body in holy Saudi Arabia must be covered from head to toe lest it drives society into Vice.” Al Ghaith declined to comment on the above cases and victims of similar ones. He simply said, “We are acting in accordance with the Shari’a. This is the law of God. The Commission is doing a great job. My people have corrected the un-Islamic behavior of over a million people last year.” Before saying good bye, Al Ghaith “gave the reporter a bunch of publications in Arabic: A collection of Fatwas (religious rulings) and an Islamic calendar.

The Mutawas, whom some Saudis derisively refer to as the “Talibans”, are notorious for committing excesses in their zeal for enforcing a puritan brand of Islam. The Mutawas, typically, beefy men in short robes with untrimmed bushes of beards springing from their chins, patrol in squads the Kingdom’s streets and shopping malls, day and night. They can shopkeepers for not shutting down their shops in time for prayer, and severely rebuke women and even little girls for allowing flesh to show from under their Abayas (mandatory black gowns). They make sure that the Saudi society is strictly segregated: From university campuses, restaurants, to kindergartens. The genders live corralled existence.

The public backlash against the Mutawas is growing, not only among liberal Saudis but also among ordinary, conservative, religious, middle class folks. A former colleague at King Saud University said, “Saudis are religious and traditionalists by nature. They have no problem with the Commission per se. The problem is the license that the Mutawas have to interfere in the smallest details of everyday life and to effectively act as though they were above the law.”

The United Nations said Tuesday that a Somali stoned to death by Islamist militants after she had been accused of adultery was a 13-year-old girl who had been raped while visiting her grandmother.

In the first such public killing by the militants in about two years, she was placed in a hole and stoned to death on Oct. 28 in a rebel-held port city, Kismayu, in front of a crowd, after local leaders said she was guilty under Shariah, the legal code of Islam based on the Koran.

Witnesses said at the time that the victim had been a 23-year-old woman.

“Reports indicate that she had been raped by three men while traveling on foot to visit her grandmother in the war-torn capital, Mogadishu,” Unicef, the United Nations children’s agency, said in a statement.

“Following the assault, she sought protection from the authorities, who then accused her of adultery and sentenced her to death,” Unicef added. “A child was victimized twice — first by the perpetrators of the rape and then by those responsible for administering justice.”

Unicef said the episode highlighted the vulnerability of girls and women in Somalia, which has suffered under cycles of civil conflict for the past 17 years. In the latest cycle, Islamist rebels are fighting the government and their Ethiopian military backers.

Rebel spokesmen could not be reached immediately to respond to Unicef’s accusation.

The human rights group Amnesty International has identified the girl as Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow and said she was killed by 50 men who stoned her in a stadium in Kismayu in front of about 1,000 spectators.

Her father and other sources were quoted by Amnesty International as saying that she had been raped by three men.

When the family tried to report the rape to the Shabab militia that controls Kismayu, the girl was accused of adultery and was detained. None of the men she accused of rape have been arrested.

Child Killed for Attempting to Rescue Stoned Woman...

Asha Ibrahim Dhuhulow, 23, was buried up to her neck in front of hundreds of people Monday in a square in Kismayu and stones were hurled at her head. She was dragged out of the hole three times to see if she was dead.

Islamists said Dhuhulow wanted punishment under Sharia law.

"A woman in green veil and black mask was brought in a car as we waited to watch the merciless act of stoning," said Abdullahi Aden, who witnessed the execution. "We were told she submitted herself to be punished, yet we could see her screaming as she was forcefully bound, legs and hands."

When a relative and others surged forward to rescue her, guards opened fire and killed a child, witnesses said.

"[Dhuhulow] was asked several times to review her confession but she stressed that she wanted Sharia law and the deserved punishment to apply," local leader Sheikh Hayakallah said.

Devout Muslim Bilal Abdulla told the man to “stop playing and start praying” after taking offence at the instrument, a jury was told.

Woolwich Crown Court heard evidence of an intimidating exchange at his Cambridge flat in 2005 from former friend Shiraz Maher.

Mr Maher said the two students were working at their computers when a third man started to play a guitar in another room.

Abdulla gestured towards a violent video of an ambush of an American Humvee vehicle in Iraq on his computer.

Mr Maher said: “He made reference to one of those grisly, very grisly videos that would come out of Iraq at that time.

“He said, ’I told him, you need to stop playing and start praying otherwise this is what we do - we slaughter.”’

He added: “Immediately after saying it Bilal laughed heartily and I remember laughing as well.

“The reason it stayed so vividly in my memory was the degree to which it was disproportionate.”

'Last Buddhist Family' Attacked, Mother Killed...

The last Buddhist family in a village of this southern border province was attacked by Muslim insurgents Sunday, killing the mother and severely injuring the daughter.

The attack against the family in Moo 7 village of Tambon Laloh of Ruesoh district happened at 1:20 pm.

Police said the mother Ladda Sutthani, 72, owner of a clothes shop, was fatally shot and her daughter, Darunee Duangkaew, 39, was severely injured and sent to the provincial hospital.

Ladda, who was shot at her head and neck, died before she was sent to the hospital.

Police said the two were sitting inside the shop with two other relatives and the insurgents arriv
ed on two motorcycles. They initially pretended to buy clothes but opened fire at the mother and daughter while the two relatives managed to flee.

The shop was attacked with a bomb two years ago, injuring Ladda. Darunee's husband was killed about a year ago.

Ladda and Darunee's family is the last Buddhist family in the village.

Marrying a young girl before she reaches the age of adolescence is permitted in sharee’ah; indeed it was narrated that there was scholarly consensus on this point.
(a) Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the ‘Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubt (about their periods), is three months; and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their ‘Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise”
[al-Talaaq 65:4]
In this verse we see that Allaah has made the ‘iddah in the case of divorce of a girl who does not have periods – because she is young and has not yet reached puberty – three months. This clearly indicates that Allaah has made this a valid marriage.
(b) It was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married her when she was six years old, he consummated the marriage with her when she was nine and she stayed with him for nine years.
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4840; Muslim, 1422)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married ‘Aa’ishah when she was six years old and consummated the marriage when she was nine.”

The fact that it is permissible to marry a young girl does not mean that it is permissible to have intercourse with her; rather that should not be done until she is able for it. For that reason the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) delayed the consummation of his marriage to ‘Aa’ishah. Al-Nawawi said: With regard to the wedding-party of a young married girl at the time of consummating the marriage, if the husband and the guardian of the girl agree upon something that will not cause harm to the young girl, then that may be done. If they disagree, then Ahmad and Abu ‘Ubayd say that one a girl reaches the age of nine then the marriage may be consummated even without her consent, but that does not apply in the case of who is younger. Maalik, al-Shaafa’i and Abu Haneefah said: the marriage may be consummated when the girl is able for intercourse, which varies from one girl to another, so no age limit can be set. This is the correct view. There is nothing in the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah to set an age limit, or to forbid that in the case of a girl who is able for it before the age of nine, or to allow it in the case of a girl who is not able for it and has reached the age of nine. Al-Dawoodi said: ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) was reached physical maturity (at the time when her marriage was consummated).

Al-Nawawi said:
It should be noted that al-Shaafa’i and his companions said: It is preferable for fathers and grandfathers not to marry off a virgin until she reaches the age of puberty and they ask her permission, lest she end up in a marriage that she dislikes. What they said does not go against the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah, because what they meant is that they should not marry her off before she reaches puberty if there is no obvious interest to be served that they fear will be missed out on if they delay it, as in the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah. In that case it is preferable to go ahead with the marriage because the father is enjoined to take care of his child’s interests and not to let a good opportunity slip away.

Amnesty: Rape girl, 13, killed for adultery

A 13-year-old girl who said she had been raped was stoned to death in Somalia after being accused of adultery by Islamic militants, a human rights group said.

Dozens of men stoned Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow to death Oct. 27 in a stadium packed with 1,000 spectators in the southern port city of Kismayo, Amnesty International and Somali media reported, citing witnesses. The Islamic militia in charge of Kismayo had accused her of adultery after she reported that three men had raped her, the rights group said.

Initial local media reports said Duhulow was 23, but her father told Amnesty International she was 13. Some of the Somali journalists who first reported the killing later told Amnesty International that they had reported she was 23 based upon her physical appearance.

Calls to Somali government officials and the local administration in Kismayo rang unanswered Saturday.

Muslims in Malaysia to be banned from yoga classes

Malaysian Muslims will be barred from practising or propagating yoga from next Friday when the National Fatwa Council will issue a ruling.

The ruling or fatwa is related to the faith of Muslims who practise yoga,

Department of Islamic Development Malaysia Director-General Wan Mohamad Sheikh Abdul Aziz said his department had carried out an in-depth study on the issue over six months and
regretted the attitude of Malaysian Muslims who were 'easily influenced by foreign cultures to the point of affecting their faith.'

“When those involved take them as trends, such cultures can lead to a serious crime according to Islamic law and this can destroy the family institution,” he said.

Many Muslim practitioners and teachers of yoga have opposed the ruling.

The Hindus, the settlers from India from whom most of the yoga practitioners come, say it is open to the instructors and practitioners to keep religion out of yoga.

Yoga, they say, has been accepted as a science for physical and mental wellbeing in many countries across the world.

The debate in Muslim majority Malaysia was triggered after a lecturer, Zakaria Stapa of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's Islamic Studies Centre advised Muslims who had taken up yoga to stop practising it for fear that they could deviate from the teachings of Islam.

Yoga, related to health, has been practised since 3,300 BC and is said to help slow down ageing, reduce risk of diabetes, asthma and heart-related diseases.
