What your local Medina Sheik don't tell you - Part One

"We had heard stories of the abduction of women from taxis by sex-deprived Saudi youths. At a Saudi friend’s wedding at a luxurious hotel in Jeddah, women dared not step out of their hotel rooms and walk to the banqueting hall for fear of abduction by the bodyguards of a Saudi prince who also happened to be staying there.
Why had the veil and segregation not prevented such behaviour? My Saudi acquaintances, many of them university graduates, argued strongly that, on the contrary, it was the veil and other social norms that were responsible for such widespread sexual frustration among Saudi youth.
At work the British Council introduced free internet access for educational purposes. Within days the students had downloaded the most obscene pornography from sites banned in Saudi Arabia, but easily accessed via the British Council’s satellite connection. Segregation of the sexes, made worse by the veil, had spawned a culture of pent-up sexual frustration that expressed itself in the unhealthiest ways.
Using Bluetooth technology on mobile phones, strangers sent pornographic clips to one another. Many of the clips were recordings of homosexual acts between Saudis and many featured young Saudis in orgies in Lebanon and Egypt. The obsession with sex in Saudi Arabia had reached worrying levels: rape and abuse of both sexes occurred frequently, some cases even reaching the usually censored national press.
My students told me about the day in March 2002 when the Muttawa [the religious police] had forbidden firefighters in Mecca from entering a blazing school building because the girls inside were not wearing veils. Consequently 15 young women burnt to death, but Wahhabism held its head high, claiming that God’s law had been maintained."

The above is from an interesting article by a British jihadi who saw the light after a stay in Saudi Arabia as a teacher. To read the whole shocking story click here.

Islam is not at fault here. Only some of the Muslims who take things to the extreme - they are at fault.

  3. But what is it about Islam (or any other of the Abrahmic faiths) that it provides for such hatred and violence in us?

    It boggles my mind.

That I'm afraid is what the west wants everybody else to believe. They want to portray that Islam = Terrorism.

Sure, they've got control over the world media. They can do anything they want.

Nobody would say anything about the violence and injustice of United States in Afghanistan and Iraq. Nobody cares about the Israeli crimes of war in Palestine.

But everybody seems to have sometime to think about the "violence", "hijaab" and female genitals

    Nass,
The name ‘Jerusalem’ is not even mentioned anywhere in the Quran. The word ‘Palestinian’ comes from the race, Philistines who are originally from the Island of Crete. What is there today, are Arabs who came from neighbouring countries. There is no distinct Palestinian race among the Arabs today, is there? They are Arabs plain and simple.
Jerusalem was captured by Khalif Omar only in 638, six years after Mohammed's death. Throughout this time there were only churches in Jerusalem, and a church stood on the Temple Mount, called the Church of Saint Mary, built in the Byzantine architectural style, started by Emperor Constantine 1 after 330 A.D. and completed by Emperor Justinian. In or around 711, or about 80 years after Muhammad died, Malik's son, Abd El-Wahd - who ruled from 705-715 - renovated the Church of St. Mary and converted it into a mosque. He left the structure as it was, a typical Byzantine {Eastern Roman Empire} "basilica" structure with a row of pillars with corridors on either side of the rectangular "ship" in the centre {A typical church building design}. All he did was some cosmetic renovations, removed Christian items and replaced the Christian stained glasses. He then named it Al-Aqsa, so it would sound like the one mentioned by the Muslims. This Mosque still looks more like a church, and there is no Mosque anywhere in this world, which looks like it.

Anonymous, Masjidul Aqsa was built way before Jesus was even born. How come that place became a church as you were saying?

Unless u are blind, you will see that the words 'israel' is there in the Quran.

"Proper it is for me that I say nothing concerning Allâh but the truth. Indeed I have come unto you from your Lord with a clear proof. So let the Children of israel depart along with me." (Al-A'raf 7:105)

O Children of israel! Remember My Favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill (your obligations to) My Covenant (with you) so that I fulfill (My Obligations to) your covenant (with Me), and fear none but Me. (Al-Baqarah 2:40)

They said: "We (Children of israel) had suffered troubles before you came to us, and since you have come to us." He said: "It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you successors on the earth, so that He may see how you act?" (Al-A'raf 7:129)

O Children of israel! Remember My Favour which I bestowed upon you and that I preferred you to the 'Alamîn (mankind and jinns) (of your time-period, in the past). (Al-Baqarah 2:122)

O Children of israel! Remember My Favour which I bestowed upon you and that I preferred you to the 'Alamîn (mankind and jinns) (of your time period, in the past). (Al-Baqarah 2:47)

And (O Children of israel, remember) when We took your covenant and We raised above you the Mount (saying): "Hold fast to that which We have given you, and remember that which is therein so that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2). (Al-Baqarah 2:63)

Those among the Children of israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawûd (David) and 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allâh and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds. (Al-Ma'idah 5:78)

and also, I would like it if you will not change the subject. We were not talking about who Palestine belongs to.

we were talking about the crimes against humanity by Israeli soldiers in Palestine.

and also by the Americans in Afghanistan n Iraq.

I only asked why nobody cares or says anything about those things, while they seem to really notice things like Islamic women covering their bodies n so on...

Religion don't kill people.People kill people.Religion don't breed hate.People do that, Just like what you guys are doing. Its easy to look at one side of the coin and generalize a whole community. But if you get your wide view over things you'll find that there is blood on everyones hands.

It is people like you filled with rage and hate that causes all the problems in the world. How Ironic that you are trying to portray as evil hate mongers a group of people when you yourselves are such.

Simon, maybe because the large percentage of the human kind belong to the Abrahamic faiths, result in us seeing people amongst them committing most of the bad stuff, there are also many good things you seem not to realize happening around the world, also done by people of these religions.

    anonymous,
inspiration from religious ideology is the root cause of much killing.

"Strike terror (into the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies" Surah 8:60
"Fight (kill) them (non-Muslims), and Allah will punish (torment) them by your hands, cover them with shame" Surah 9:14
"I will instil terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah" Surah 8:12, 17

Mohammed was quoted as saying: "I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah " Al Bukhari vol. 4:196

Of course the book of Koran does not rise up by itself and kill people. It inspires people to kill.

its about sex-deprived Saudi youth and what your local Medina Sheik don't tell you!!!

"sex-deprived" saudi youth? Why are u so worried about them? They are Muslims u know. Last time I checked, u hated Arabs. So why appear so concerned that they are "sex-deprived"?

Who cares about what Medina Sheikh didn't tell somebody? We have the Quran and Hadhees to guide us. We have enough sheikhs too; not just one sheikh from Medina.

It'd be better if you start talking about the SEX DEPRIVED church. Cos apparently they are NOT SUPPOSED to have sex, but end-up sexually harassing young children. That's more scary than a couple of things this one sheikh didn't tell.

  14. Nass,
I know they are muslims. It is because of the implementation of strict Islamic laws that they are suffering sexual deprivation leading to mental incapacitations.
Maybe this is too strange and difficult for you to understand but I care about them. I care about all human beings, all living things. And I do not wish Maldivian youth to experince what the Saudi youth are undergoing.
And please let me know where you checked to get the impression that I hate Arabs.
